A Mind to See


Why are some more inclined to see?


This Project Outline collects a selection of photographs dedicated to seeing.  It concludes with a discussion, or more correctly, some questions that I wish to build upon as I give this further thought.




Do we only see if we look?  Do we only look when we decide to look? Or can something sneak up on us, in spite of our lack of awareness?

Perhaps a light-bulb moment requires a trigger that reacts with something that was already on our radar … even if just below the surface.

There’s this thing call the Reticular Activating System in our brains that’s worth checking out.
