Walking my garden path

The original path was too narrow, too raised; unsafe. Weeds had overtaken it, up through it or down into it. I pulled up the bricks during lockdown and tried to dig down and level it off. The rains came. It was a mad panic to cover it again or the weeds would return before I could get the new path organised. Lesson: Don’t start a project until you have all the items needed to finish it.

Down went newspaper. Down went weed matting. Lesson: Keep a stockpile of organic matting so that you don’t have to resort to the other stuff that will disintegrate under a bit of UV.

When life takes on a patina, exploit it.

It’s been a while since I last explored a group of images to see what I might find within.
