It was my walking buddy who summarised today’s walk around the campus of the Australian National University – it was a contrast between the green glory of nature and the dramatic architecture of a growing university. I’ve added a few adjectives for extra effect.
Walk Number 18 was described as “Sculpture and Architecture”. We saw lots of architecture but not much sculpture, probably because I made up a new path. These walks take twice as long when carrying a camera. With other things to do, the mapped route was shortened to something manageable – again. So, saving the sculpture for another day.

Series Notes
I’m drawing my walking inspiration from Marion Stuart’s “Canberra’s Best Bush, Park & City Walks”, published by Woodslane Press Pty Ltd. The book contains details of 49 walks of varying lengths and grades.
