The aim is to see some new sights, take some more photos, and most importantly get some more exercise. The pain in my foot is subsiding, gradually, with the occasional spike from time to time.
The aim of this year was to get more out of my exercise, but it’s been a disappointing effort. That doesn’t mean it has to go out with a whimper. One last ditch attempt to salvage the Year of Sweat Squared sees me wandering some of the walks around the city on the weekend.
Today’s photos are from my gentle stroll this morning around Yerrabi Pond at Gungahlin.
As with my walk in Commonwealth Park last weekend, the Yerrabi Pond walk is categorised as easy. The full circuit includes Old Gundaroo Road and would usually take 2 hours. Again, as with my walk last weekend, I cut it short. I’ll have to tackle Old Gundaroo another day.

Series Notes
I’m drawing my walking inspiration from Marion Stuart’s “Canberra’s Best Bush, Park & City Walks”, published by Woodslane Press Pty Ltd. The book contains details of 49 walks of varying lengths and grades. I’m not doing them in order. I’m unlikely to do them all, but I’m enjoying them so much I will continue them into next year.
